Dec 10 Zechariah 12, Zechariah 13, Zechariah 14 – Revelation 2:1-17 – Proverbs 30:1-10

Rev 2:3-4

I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name’s sake, and you have not grown weary. But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.

The church in Ephesus looked like a good church. It was a busy church, a bustling church, even a popular church.

They had not let their enthusiasm fade. They had not given in to the pressure of society around them. But God has something against them. They’d abandoned their first love. They’d got so busy, they’d lost the reason why they did everything.

It’s very easily done, to be so busy about a The Lords work that we forget to spend time with The Lord. We forget that He is the focus of everything.

It’s good to be busy. But if you are too busy for God then you are too busy. It’s our love for Him that is the reason for everything. If we move away from that, what’s the point in anything we do?

How’s your love level doing today?
