Zeph 3:17

The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save;

he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

Who is doing the rejoicing here? Who is doing the singing? It’s God. Have you ever thought about that? God’s love for yo causes Him to be glad. Causes Him to sing! What a wonderful thing it is to know that’s how our heavenly father thinks about us.

God isn’t “putting up with you” He isn’t making do with you. He’s called you by name – He’s given His only son for you. He takes delight in you.

Yes, you failed, yes you’ve messed up – yes you are unworthy, but He is mighty. He is mightier than your problems, He is mighty to save!

We are not God’s unwanted children. We are His joy and His delight – that’s why Jesus came, that’s why He saves us – because He doesn’t just love us because He has to – but He delights in us.

Phil 1:6

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

You are a work in progress. And that’s ok. Are you perfect today? Nope. We are all “under construction” today. None of us have made it yet.

How do I know that? Because the day of Jesus Christ has not yet come. Until that day we remain incomplete. It’s when we see Him, we become like Him. When we see Him face to face on that day, everything changed. And He who has begun a good work in us will on that day complete that work!

Until that day… well even though we are not yet perfect but in order to be a work in progress, do you know what we need? Progress! Without progress you are not a work in progress, but just a piece of work!

You may not yet be who you are going to be. But neither should you be who you were. The work has begun. The work continues… and that work will be completed!
