2/3/18 – Leviticus 7:11-38, Leviticus 8 Mark 11:1-27 Psalm 28

Mark 11:11

Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

Jesus Looked around at everything. But he didn’t turn over the tables there and then. He must have seen the corruption on that first day. But it’s not until the next day that He does something. That first day would have been the wrong time, it was already late – the impact would have been less.

Don’t act on impulse. Take time. Pray. Then act.

Ps 28:7

The Lord is my strength and my shield;

my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.

My heart leaps for joy,

and with my song I praise him.

Where is your strength coming from? David knew where his came from. The Lord. He is our strength and our shield.

And I just love this next line…

My heart leaps for joy! And that’s what caused David to sing. Leaps, dances! His heart was overcome with excitement and love for God.

Why do we sing? Do we do it out of ritual? Out of habit? Because everyone else is doing it?

That’s all bad reasons to sing. We sing out of the joy of The Lord in our hearts – because He is wonderful!
