Nov 1 Joel 1, Joel 2:1-17 Hebrews 3 Psalm 119:137-144

Heb 3:12-13

Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

Look after each other. Every day. Paul tells us to exhort one another eery day as long as it’s called today. In other words, don’t put it off until today is yesterday. Be regularly looking after one another.

Sin is always crouching at the door. The pull of the world is strong. And Paul is encouraging everyone in the church – look out for each other. Build each other up.

A heart does not harden overnight. It’s a process. So keep looking out for each other – when you see danger signs, loving speak to someone. Everyone needs help – even the strongest of us.

A church, when it’s at its most effective gets this right. And this isn’t something for a set few, or a pastoral team… no Paul says one another. That’s everyone, that’s mutual.

Whose life can you speak into today? You can you exhort and encourage?

Do it, whilst today is still called today.
