Jul 29 – 1 Chronicles 6 Romans 11:33-36, Romans 12:1-21 Psalm 89:30-37

Rom 12:2

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

It’s easy to conform. It takes no work at all. Your mind will follow the crowd. It’s amazing to see ideas grow and shape society. The more people head in one direction, the more others will join them – even if that place is taking society over a cliff edge.

Your mind wants to follow the crowd. Don’t let it. Don’t be conformed. Be transformed.

Let Christ rule in your heart and your mind. Daily focus on the things of God not the things of the world and daily seek Him first.

Your mind is a battle ground. Lose the battle in the mind and the enemy will take you down. Look after your mind. Keep it renewed. Focus on what is good, lovely and true.

Rom 12:10

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour.

Let’s have a competition as Christians. Competitiveness isn’t always a good thing, it can lead to rivalries and dispute. But here’s a good competition. Outdo each other in showing honour. If we could live like this what a world it would be, each of us always raising the level of honouring each other. When someone does good to you today, or honours you… outdo them. Raise the level of honour back.
