Jul 24 – Hosea 10, Hosea 11 Romans 8:18-39 Psalm 89:1-8

Rom 8:18-19

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

I don’t know how hard life or has been for you. I don’t know what difficulties you’d had to bear.

But I do know this… they are tiny when compared to the Glory that is to come. So small that they aren’t even worth comparison.

I can’t picture what that must be like – it’s too amazing for me to comprehend. But ti’s important that we remember what is coming.

When life gets hard – join with creation and have that eager expectation of what’s to come. It’s even better than you could ever think it’s going to be!

Ps 89:5-6

The heavens praise your wonders, Lord,

your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones.

For who in the skies above can compare with the Lord?

Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings?

There is none like him. None. He is so great, so magnificent that you can compare nothing in all of creation to Him.

Sometimes we split reality into two halves – spiritual and physical. In the physical there’s us, trees, animals, all you can see touch or hear. In the spiritual there’s God, Angels, Satan, Demons.

And we think that Spiritual is evaluated above the physical.

Spiritual > Physical

And that’s true.. to an extent. But that’s not where the real dividing line lies. The real dividing line is this:

Creator > Creation.

Nothing Spiritual is even close to how great God is. Who in the skies can compare with The Lord? None. Thats who.
