Sep 6 – Isaiah 10:20-34, Isaiah 11, Isaiah 12, Isaiah 13 2 Corinthians 8:16-24, 2 Corinthians 9:1-5 Psalm 105:37-45

Ps 105:43

So he brought his people out with joy,

his chosen ones with singing.

There are a few Psalms like this one, that recount the history of Israel coming from Egypt and the goodness of God to them.

It’s a bit like a history lesson in song.

It made me think, we don’t really have many songs like this, that celebrate what God has done in our nation or our churches or even in our lives. (Although those would be very personal songs). Maybe it’s not worship in the traditional sense but it’s certainly praise.

It may not be in song, but it’s good to stop and remember. If we don’t take the time to remember we will forget to remember.

And remembering keeps us grateful.
