Aug 10 – 2 Chronicles 1:1-17 1 Corinthians 6 Psalm 94:1-11

1 Cor 6:18

Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.

Fleeing is not casual. Fleeing involves running so fast your limbs can barely keep up! Don’t toy with sexual immorality – don’t see how close to it you can get – flee as if your eternal life depended on it!

Is all sin equal? Well it is in it’s wages, but not in it’s effects and consequences. All sin leads to death – but some sins will mess you up or other’s lives up.

Sexual sin is against your own body. You’ll have consequences to deal with. Marriages are destroyed – relationships are broken… all because of sexual sin.

Life is not a game. There is no reset button for the consequences of sin. Flee sexual immorality like you would a rabid dog.

Ps 94:9

He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see?

I love the poetic truth here. It’s so wonderful. the one who made the eye sees everything. There is nothing done that He does not see. That should bring both comfort and conviction.

When you sin, He sees. When you suffer, He also sees.

When you cry out – the one who made ears hears all. You are never alone. So you never need to despair. Would never need to feel abandoned. He is there through it all.
