Revelation 5:12

saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honour and glory and blessing!”

How worthy is our Lord Jesus! In heaven they worship Him and adore Him, because He is worth it. The lamb who was slain – meekly and humbly has been exalted on high.

He is the creator but also our Saviour. Everything revolves around Jesus. He has power and authority to rule over all things.

This is what true worship is, proclaiming worth.

There is some confusing imagery in this chapter – Jesus with 7 horns and 7 eyes – and it can be a bit confusing. But remember this is symbolism. It’s a vision with a meaning.

The number 7 represents perfection. The horn was a symbol of power – so John is relaying the perfection of the power of Jesus. It is complete and without flaw. The eyes represent wisdom – all power and understanding has been given to Jesus. There is nothing that He does not know.

This is who we serve. This is who we call master, king and brother. Isn’t Jesus amazing?
