Apr 24 – Joshua 5:13-15, Joshua 6, Joshua 7 Luke 22:39-62 Psalm 50:16-23

Josh 6:20

When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.

God brought down the walls. An impenetrable city became vulnerable in a moment.

But that did not mean the battle was over. The city was full of people ready to fight and Israel needed to charge right in to take it.

God intervening in miraculous ways doesn’t take away our responsibility to get involved. Miracles aren’t time to sit back, but to get busy.

When God gives breakthrough He gives us opportunity. But it’s up to us to make the most of that.

Ps 50:16-17

But to the wicked person, God says:

“What right have you to recite my laws

or take my covenant on your lips?

You hate my instruction

and cast my words behind you.

It’s amazing how often “the wicked” will try and use the bible against us. They use a word they do not understand, because the flesh cannot understand the Spirit.

But God asks, “what right do you have to recite my laws?” Essentially, if you don’t know Him – don’t quote Him.

Many will try and use the words of Jesus to trap you because they hate the instruction of God.

But it’s because they don’t understand it. Don’t let yourself be knocked by people misunderstanding the word of God. It’s always going to happen and they’ve got no right to do so.

Make sure you know Him AND His word.
