2 Thess 3:13

As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good.

Doing good is not the easy route. It’s hard. This life is a marathon, not a sprint and the great commission isn’t over until… well, the end. There are times when it gets hard – there’s times when lethargy and apathy seem like the best way to go… you are not alone if that’s ever been a temptation. We would not have to be told not to grow weary in doing good if others had never felt like that.

What you are involved with, when you are involved with the work of the Kingdom of God is a good work. It’s a lasting work – you are involved with something that will last for eternity. There are results that you may not see today, but you will see in the Kingdom… forever.

The work of the gospel, the kingdom and the church is good. Don’t get weary – don’t be discouraged…. It’s worth the hurt. It’s worth the pressure. It’s worth the sacrifice.
