Ps 119:162
I rejoice at your word like one who finds great spoil.
This is a great phrase. The excitement that the Author feels when He reads God’s word is quite infectious.
That feeling you get, when you find something amazing and valuable – that’s how he rejoices at the word of God.
Reading the bible should not be a chore, or a duty – it should be exciting and rewarding. Finding great treasures amongst the word that you’ve never seen before. Discovering new things about God and His will.
The bible is not a dusty old book, it’s the most exciting read in the world! The question is, are you reading for duty or to discover treasure?
