1 Cor 15:42-44

So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

Your natural body is going to fail and die. It’s perishable.

When you go to Tesco and buy a perishable item, it means it has an expiration date.

It won’t last forever. It has a certain shelf life. The older it gets, the more mushy and smelly it becomes.

The same is true with your physical, earthly body. It has an expiration date.

And the older we get, the more we become acutely aware that our body is perishable. It begins to break down, slow down, and wear out. The older it gets… the more mushy and smelly it becomes.

But thank God our glorified body will be imperishable.

There will be no expiration date. It will never get old or diseased.

Is life hard here? Do you suffer in the body or even the mind? I know it doesn’t seem like it now, but that’s a light momentary affliction.

Paul says also – its not worthy of comparison with the glory to come.
