Josh 14:10-11

And now, behold, the LORD has kept me alive, just as he said, these forty-five years since the time that the LORD spoke this word to Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness. And now, behold, I am this day eighty-five years old. I am still as strong today as I was in the day that Moses sent me; my strength now is as my strength was then, for war and for going and coming

What an inspiration Caleb is. One of the spies sent out into the land – only he and Joshua came back and said “we can do this”.

45 years ago he got to see the promised land. He got a glimpse of what God had in store for Israel and he wanted it. Because the people followed the spies who reacted with fear – Israel wandered for 40 years. But Caleb never forgot the land.

The dream of the land kept him focused – it kept him vital. When we have something to get out of bed for every day then we keep ourselves sharp. Purpose has a huge effect on us.

God sustained him and kept him strong, but the key to Caleb’s energy lies in his vision.

The land he saw was good. And when the time came, he made sure he was ready to fight for it.

Keep a vision for your life. Keep a vision for your future. It will keep you sharp.
