26/3/18 – Numbers 21:4-35, Numbers 22:1-20 Luke 6:12-36 Psalm 37:21-31

Todays contribution is from Pastor Steve Young

The scriptures you have been reading today deal with the way we react to our enemies, those who appose. We are God’s righteous people who embrace God’s word to lead and guide us, however, we may get it wrong at times and we may fall just like Israel did many times. There is always hope, God restores so we do not lie down and give up, for the Lord upholds us, he will not forsake us, and he does not abandon His faithful ones.

God’s standards are high, they are higher than the wicked and Jesus gives us a pattern of behaviour toward our persecutors and it is quite different from the way of sinners. Love and compassion for those who oppose us and ask us for our possessions and we should not expect anything in return.
