New Year, New Beginnings

Our God is the God of the miraculous is he not?

I’ve just had the privilege of attending the 2018 Youth For Christ conference in Manchester and what a revelation and eye opener that was! God revealed himself to me in so many ways during that time. It was so humbling to see 200-300 youth workers bowed on their knees before their God in adoration and awe, crying out in prayer and interceding for each other. Mostly it revealed to me how much I should be seeking my heavenly father, reading his word and praying to him is exactly the way to do this. God doesn’t expect us to do more than we can handle, all he asks us is to read his words of his heart and to draw near to the God of unfailing love that has called us to fulfil the beautiful purpose, he has given every one of us.

We were each created for a unique purpose and reason.

As the celebrations of Christmas and New Year draw to an end its easy to get captured up in feeling sad or disillusioned after that season has come to a close. Instead, I encourage you to fervently plug into the word of God, pray to him no matter how you may be feeling because God just wants to talk to you, his child.

What is he calling you to do in 2018?

Sometimes its easy to forget just how majestic our God is and just how magnificent and marvellous the works of his hands are. You are his handiwork, and he has destined you for this season and time, you were born for the precise time that you are in.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. – Ephesians 2:10

As I go back into the swing of things and as my weeks are busy, my goal is to try and continually stay in his presence, whether it be humming a worship song while I’m working, or just reading my bible every day. There is no better place than in his presence.

I challenge you to enter into his presence every day, read a passage of your bible and pray to your heavenly father that loves you dearly.

2018 is going to be a phenomenal year, God can use each and every one of us in miraculous ways if we open up our hearts to him and surrender our lives for him to work through.

I pray that you are blessed abundantly as you go about your week and that you take up my challenge to continually stay in the presence of God this coming year.

Thank you so much for staying with me and reading through this blog!

Be blessed, love Jessica.
